As a biologic wound dressing, honey offers a wide range of bioactivities that work in concert to expedite the healing process. Impregnated with 100% medical-grade Manuka honey, these dressings promote a quicker, healthier healing process while helping to protect against wound infections.

The Everlit Care Honey Calcium Alginate Dressing is a sterile, non-woven dressing pad designed to protect the affected area from bacterial infections while maintaining a moist environment that promotes quicker and more efficient healing. Once in contact with exudate, the pad forms a soothing gel to provide a dry wound with a physiologically moist environment and minimize bacterial infections. The dressing offers effective anti-inflammatory properties, natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, and the ability to absorb up to 20 times its own weight.

The dressing is impregnated with active Leptospermum honey, offering natural healing power with strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, thanks to the 100% pure, sterile medical-grade Manuka honey. It absorbs excess exudate and permits the passage of exudate into the secondary dressing while helping to lower the wound pH level, thereby reducing the risk of maceration in the wound bed for an optimal healing environment.

The soft, non-woven, non-adhesive dressing pad is composed of alginate fibers derived from 100% natural seaweed, which absorbs up to 20 times its own weight and forms a soothing hydrophilic gel to protect the wound against infection. Designed to treat moderate to heavily exudating wounds, the dressing forms a soft cohesive gel on contact with wound fluid to maintain a moist wound environment and maximize patient comfort by conforming intimately to body contours without sticking to the wound.

All Everlit Care wound dressings are produced under aseptic conditions, and each dressing is individually wrapped in sterile packaging to keep the product free from infection and external contamination.
